Over 160 golfers attend MJT Ford-sponsored event in Chilliwack with Gandhi going low

Tournament Highlights:
- The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior tour, hosted over 160 golfers in a MJT Ford-sponsored event in Chilliwack.
- The event featured a competitive MJT Ford Series tournament with 100 players, the first in a series of seven on the MJT, and a free Ford Go Golf! Junior Clinic clinic for over 60 beginners, courtesy of Chilliwack Ford and Ford Canada.
- The MJT Ford Series offered a hole-in-one contest to win a $30,000 EcoSport – many juniors came close during the tournament!
- Manu Gandhi, 17, of West Vancouver, BC, fired fantastic rounds of 66,73 (139) en route to being crowned MJT Junior and Low Overall Boys Champion, and earned an exemption into the ATB Future Stars Invitational in Edmonton, AB, this June.
- Jessica Ng, 17, of Vancouver, BC, shot outstanding scores of 73-71 (144) to win the MJT Girls 15-19 title along with Low Overall Girls Champion.
- There was a tight race among the Juvenile Boys, leading to only a one shot difference between first, second and third place finishers.
- Richard RuoHeng Sun of Burnaby, 14, BC, won the MJT Bantam Boys title with great scores of 75,72 (147) to earn one AJGA PBE Star.
- Repeat Podium top finisher Jeevyn Lotay, 12, of Burnaby, BC, claimed his second MJT Peewee Boys title of the season in another comeback.
