MJT Team Canada set for 2025 Jack Newton International Junior Classic in Australia
Vancouver, BC – (September 2, 2025) – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior tour, is proud to unveil the athletes selected to represent the country at the prestigious 2025 Jack Newton International Junior Classic (JNJC) in Australia from September 30 to October 3. This will be MJT Team Canada’s 14th appearance at this world-class event, the largest junior golf tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.
The players in the Canadian contingent traveling to Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club in New South Wales, who each qualified through outstanding play on the MJT this season, are Trent Clarke from Vineland, ON, DJ Crowe from Armstrong, BC, Lucas Vizzutti from Powell River, BC, and Jett Metaxas from Stoney Creek, ON.
These four top juniors are to be accompanied by experienced PGA Professional and MJT Tournament Director, Ryan Kingston, from New Brunswick. “We are excited to once again participate in this high-level tournament in Australia,” Coach Kingston stated. “Competing on an international stage against the best juniors in the world will be one of the highlights of the athlete’s young lives and we know they will represent both themselves and Canada with pride.”
Over 15 countries and over 200 competitors are competing in the upcoming Jack Newton International Junior Classic, offering elite-level competition with a truly global atmosphere to MJT Team Canada, with the chance to build friendships, broaden horizons, and showcase their skills on one of Australia’s most storied stages.

About Jack Newton Junior Golf: The Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation was established in 1986 to introduce more young people to the game of golf and to nurture their skills and enjoyment of the sport.
