MJT National Schedule of close to 100 events on Canada’s most-played Junior Golf Tour tees off with Humber College PGM Classic

Vancouver, BC – (February 14, 2022) – Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, is set to host its largest schedule ever during its 24th season in 2022, with close to 100 events planned after another record-breaking Early Bird Membership Drive.
 
The increased line-up of tournaments for young athletes tees off in Vancouver, BC, March 12 through 14, with the three-day MJT Humber College PGM Classic at University Golf Club, which headlines a series of sponsored MJT events after renewal of national sponsorship by long-time and valued partner, the Humber College Professional Golf Management Program (PGM).
 
The MJT’s Humber College PGM Series features seven sponsored events across Canada, starting with the MJT Humber College PGM Classic at University Golf Club, and followed by tournaments at Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course in Banff, AB, May 22-23, Rebel Creek Golf Course in Petersburg, ON, June 11-12, Woodington Lake Golf and Country Club in Tottenham, ON, June 18-19, Trafalgar Golf Club in Milton, ON, July 16-17, Fox Harb’r Resort in Wallace, NS, August 16-17, and Lakeridge Links Golf Club in Brooklin, ON, August 27-28.
 
Players at each stop will receive gifting courtesy of Humber College PGM, and MJT members are eligible for bursaries to attend the Humber College Professional Golf Management Program.
After the record-breaking MJT Membership registration period, over 100 top young golfers in the region will tee off at 10:00 am on March 12 season opener on the premier, 93-year-old University Golf Course, for titles in six age divisions as well as major MJT Order of Merit points and rankings such as World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), Global Junior Golf and Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings, American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) PBE stars, Golf Canada points and more.

Gain a business education, develop your golf game, and embark on a career you will love. Gain valuable experience and earn income during our two six-month paid co-op terms. About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada. The organization is supported by valued Premier, Tournament and Product Partners. The MJT hosts close to 100 events across Canada, including free Ford Go Golf Junior Clinics, the MJT Mini Tour for 12U and multi-day events for competitive players aged 11-19 which also offer qualifiers for international tournaments.
