Wild weather shortens MJT Humber College PGM Series at Woodington Lake

• Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour stopped in Tottenham, ON, on August 13 and 14, for the MJT Humber College PGM Series at Woodington Lake Golf Club. Elite young golfers battled some wild weather while competing for titles in six age divisions along with Order of Merit points to qualify for the MJT National Championship in Orlando this November.
• After a lengthy rain and lightening delay on day two, the final round had to be cut short due to safety concerns as the lightning radar showed no breaks. Scoring for day two was determined by the greatest number of holes all players completed in each division. Please see modified second rounds completed below.
• The MJT Junior Boys division completed all 36 holes of the event, and the winner was Arthur Wang, 17, of Markham, ON, who shot 83 and 77 (160), holding off a three-way tie for second place only one stroke back.
• Claiming the MJT Juvenile Boys division’s top spot for the best 29-hole score was Michael Collett, 16, of Bracebridge, ON, who finished two strokes ahead of a two-way tie for second with fine rounds of 74-45.
• Winner of the MJT Bantam Boys title was Andy Dai, 12, of Markham, ON, who shot 76,29 for the best 25-hole score in his division by two strokes.
• The MJT Peewee Boys division completed 23 holes, with Joseph Totino, 12, of Toronto, ON, claiming top spot with scores of strong scores of 74-28.
• Keisha Han, 10, of Toronto, ON, came out to her very first MJT event and won the MJT Girls U15 division title over 20 holes of play with a solid total score of 90 (82-8 with only two holes finished for the second round).
• The MJT Girls 15-19 division winner was veteran champion Nobelle Park, 12, of Oakville, ON, who plays up a division and fired rounds of 78-15 for 22 holes of golf and a dominant victory.
