2020 MJT Season Update, R&A Rules Education Opportunity & Free Webinars

MJT National Championship presented by TaylorMade & adidas moves back to Canada!
With everything that has gone on over the past month and the uncertainty around international travel, the MJT wishes to announce that the 2020 MJT National Championship presented by TaylorMade and adidas Golf will be held at the beautiful Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey, British Columbia, October 9-12. We have also updated the criteria for invitation, which can be seen here. Morgan Creek has played host to many Provincial and National Championships and is thrilled to be hosting the MJT’s finale!
MJT 2020 Updated Schedule
We have been working with sponsors and host venues, creating a plan to reschedule all April and May Junior and Mini Tour events affected by Covid-19 with a goal of producing a full competitive lineup starting in late June, culminating with the respective Junior and Mini Tour National Championships. We are hoping to announce the revised schedule ASAP, noting, of course, it is completely subject to the situation and government directives on a timeline for safe resumption.
MJT Withdrawal & Refund Policy due to Extenuating Circumstances
The MJT understands the extenuating circumstances this pandemic has caused and will allow for this in our withdrawal and refund policies. All entries for re-scheduled tournaments will be automatically transferred to the new dates; if the player cannot make the new dates, or the event ultimately cannot proceed, the entrant has the option to leave the entry fee on account, or receive a full refund.
Win a MJT Prize! R&A Rules Academy – Level 1
The R&A offers their Level 1 online course called The Rules Academy, free of charge. Learn, Understand, Test Yourself and Enjoy! This exam covers common rules situations a player would come across in a competitive round of golf and culminates in the Official R&A Level 1 Exam. Each person (player or parent) who emails us a picture of their completed Level 1 Rules Certificate by June 1 will be entered into a draw for a special MJT prize! Great response to Free Webinars for MJT Members!!
Wow! The two free webinars we announced this morning by Kyle McDonald of Competitive Will Performance Consulting: Moving Forward as a Golfer in Stressful Times and Creating Mentality and Identity for Golf, have already had 100 MJT members register and are FULL! The MJT will work on securing additional webinars if at all possible as this is a great opportunity to build your mental skill set while we have some down time and prepare for the upcoming season when it arrives.
