Spectacular scoring shines spotlight on BC’s 12U talent in MJT Mini Tour at GreenTee

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one-played junior golf tour, brought its exciting Mini Tour series to GreenTee Country Club in Langley, BC, where a waitlisted field of talented young golfers aged 12 and under teed off in the rain on June 21. Known for its tight fairways and well-guarded greens, GreenTee offered a challenging yet scenic stage for rising stars to compete across six divisions. With direct qualifying spots for the MJT Mini Tour National Championship at Tsawwassen Springs up for grabs, players faced off under moody skies and rose to the challenge in pressure-filled moments.

Despite the rain, incredible play and spectacular scoring across the board led to division wins for Bentley Hoogerdyk, 12, of Victoria, BC, in MJT Boys 11-12 (70), Tiffany Rao, 11, of Vancouver, BC, in MJT Girls 11-12 (74), Allen Kong, 9, from Vancouver, BC, in MJT Boys 9-10 (66), Joanna Lin, 10, from Vancouver, BC, in MJT Girls 9-10 (69), Sawyer Morrow, 6, of Vancouver, BC, in MJT Boys 8U (76), and Chloe He, 8, of Richmond, BC, in MJT Girls 8U (70)

Quotes from the division winners and top finisher scores are detailed below. Full results, as well as winners of the Closest-to-the-Pin competition are posted on the MJT website here.
