Deibert and Melsted continue their winning ways on MJT Mini Tour at Wildwood

It was a beautiful day for golf on July 23 at the Wildwood Golf Course in Saskatoon, a new venue on the 2023 MJT Saskatchewan Mini Tour circuit, where a field of 12U players on Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour competed in six age divisions over 18 holes, vying for trophies and prizes plus the chance to qualify for the MJT Mini Tour National Championship in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, this August, 

Scores from the top finishers and quotes from each division winner are noted below. Closest to the Pin winners are posted on the MJT website here. Highlights included Alyxa Melstad, 10, of Wynyard, SK, winning her third MJT Girls 9-10 title of the season while Hudson Deibert, 8, of Regina, SK, won his fourth in MJT Boys 8U, as both players continue to dominate their divisions in the Saskatchewan U12 circuit. Rounding off the event was the presentation of $100 gift certificates for golf lessons courtesy the PGA of Saskatchewan to lucky winners Henry Silver, 12, of North Battleford, SK, and Tayzen Maddaford-Toth, 7, of Saskatoon, SK.
