Burrows gets hole-in-one, Tong and Shields-Rodipe win low overall titles in MJT Mini Tour’s Blue Devil stop

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) hosted the second
MJT Alberta Mini Tour event of the season this past weekend, at Blue Devil Golf Course, in Calgary, June 4.

Nathaniel Burrows, 12, of Calgary, AB, scored an ace on the Lil’ Devil’s third hole in the MJT Boys 11-12 divison.

Solomon Tong, 12, of Heritage Pointe, AB, shot an impressive eight-under-par to win his second MJT Boys 11-12 division title in as many starts on the Alberta circuit, while simultaneously securing the overall boys title.

Aleah Shields-Rodipe, 11, of Calgary, came back to Calgary and Canada to claim the MJT Girls 11-12 and Overall title with a score of 61.

Edwin Park, 9, of Bentley, AB, won the MJT Boys 9-10 division title, finishing with a 64.

Sedona Weitz, 9, of Calgary, continued to impress in the MJT Girls 9-10 division, winning her second title of the season with a score of 68.

Caleb Topshee, 8, of Calgary, topped the podium again for MJT 8U Boys division, besting his competitor by 10 shots.

Lila Skeates, 8, of Calgary, took first in the MJT 8U Girls division, in a tight competition with Ain Lee, 8, of Sylvan Lake.

About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada.
