Top Finishers
MJT U15 Girls: Kingswood: Par 72, Ydg 5451, Slope/Rating 119/71.5
1 Riley Partington Fredericton, NB F 14 85, 87 172
2 Neve Miller Dieppe, NB F 14 102, 86 188
Winner’s Quote: Riley Partington, 14, of Fredericton, NB: “It feels good to have won two MJT tournaments in a row, especially through the weather conditions both times. I had a few birdies, and I was hitting the ball pretty well too. Best part of this season were the people running the tournaments and playing the tournaments, they made it so much more fun than it would have been. My goal is to be consistently breaking 80 next year, so I’m getting to work on that this off season!”
MJT 15-19 Girls: Kingswood: Par 72, Ydg 5451, Slope/Rating 119/71.5
1 Rachel Steeves Quispamsis, NB F 15 89, 97 186
Winner’s Quote: Rachel Steeves, 15, of Quispamsis, NB: “I am very happy, I did not play like I wanted but I still had a lot of fun. Hitting the ball onto the cart path, into the water and then have it bounce back onto the fairway was a highlight shot this weekend. My goal for next season is to consistently hit in the 70’s and get my mental game better.”
MJT Peewee Boys: Kingswood: Par 72, Ydg 5451, Slope/Rating 110/71.0
1 Carter Lavigne Moncton, NB M 12 85, 79 164
2 Liam Wheaton Memramcook, NB M 11 83, 85 168
3 Liam Goguen Cap-Pele, NB M 11 92, 87 179
Winner’s Quote: Carter Lavigne, 12, of Moncton, NB: “I have won multiple tournaments this year, but the feeling never gets old. I’m proud of my ability to fight back after a rough first round and keeping calm under the pressure of the last few holes. My favourite part of the whole season was definitely the last five hours of the last MJT tournament at Fox Harb’r, the wind and weather was so crazy we couldn’t help but laugh most of the last round, the balls were flying everywhere no matter how accurate of a shot you had.”
MJT Bantam Boys: Kingswood: Par 72, Ydg 5955, Slope/Rating 119/71.0
1 Kooper MacKay Wolfville, NS M 13 78, 74 152
2 Tommy Chang Dieppe, NB M 14 81, 72 153
3 Tristan Frenette Rothesay, NB M 14 86, 72 158
Winner’s Quote: Kooper Mackay, 13, of Wolfville, NS: “I was happy with how I played across the two rounds, with one being in rain too. My favourite shot was when I landed the ball three inches away from a hole-in-one on the first round on hole four.”
MJT Juvenile Boys: Kingswood: Par 71, Ydg 6416, Slope/Rating 126/71.0
1 Ben Nicholson Fredericton , NB M 16 74, 75 149
2 Chase Burgess Petitcodiac, NB M 15 79, 78 157
3 Aaron Partington Fredericton, NB M 16 80, 78 158
Winner’s Quote: Ben Nicholson, 16, of Fredericton, NB: “It feels really good to finally be able to pull off a win, I have been playing solid and it has finally paid off. Day one it was so hot the ball was flying no problem. With the 2022 season coming to an end, my favourite part was the good competition and then winning this tournament. I’m just going to keep practicing keeping the ball in play with my driver for next season.”
MJT Junior Boys: Kingswood : Par 71, Ydg 6416, Slope/Rating 126/71.0
1 Miguel Babineau Dieppe, NB M 17 75, 76 151* won playoff
1 Nicholas Colton Bathurst, NB M 17 77, 74 151
3 Brady Wood Fredericton, NB M 17 77, 75 152
Winner’s Quote: Miguel Babineau, 17, of Dieppe, NB: “I feel great about winning and it is a nice feeling to end the MJT season in that fashion. I was hitting par five’s in two, and won in a playoff, you can’t have better highlights than that. My favourite part of the season was getting to compete against my friends and overall, just better my game. I’m going to be focusing on putting this off season to nail that part of my game.”
MJT Long Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin, Booster Juice Bounceback and draw prize winners are posted on the
