Juniors Weather the Storm in Season-Opener on Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour

TSAWWASSEN, B.C.: The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour held its season-opener this past weekend at the Morgan Creek Golf Club in South Surrey, B.C. The full field of junior golfers, who came from as far away as Manitoba, Alberta and Fort St. John, battled through cold rain and high winds in the two day tournament, which was sponsored by golf apparel company, Turtle Creek Collection.

Highlights of round one included 14-year-old local Ahnna Kim?s two-under-par, her best tournament score to date, and a three-under-par 69 from University of British Columbia golf team member Michael Landry. Landry posted a second round score of 74 to finish at one-under-par for the two day tournament, winning the Boys 17 and up division.
