Canada's #1 Junior Golf Tour

The Road to College Golf, run exclusively by PGA Professionals

MJT partners with world-leading course management system, DECADE Golf

Vancouver, BC – (March 13, 2026) – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s #1-played junior golf tour, is pleased to announce an exclusive partnership with DECADE Golf, the
proven course management system created by renowned golf strategist, Scott Fawcett, and used by elite amateurs, collegiate players,
and professional golfers around the world.

DECADE Golf is a data-driven course management system designed to help golfers make smarter decisions on the course. Built using statistical analysis from millions of golf shots and decades of research into scoring patterns, the platform teaches players how to select optimal targets, manage risk, and develop the decision-making skills required to consistently shoot lower scores.

The acronym stands for: Distance, Expectation, Correct Target (or Correct Target Selection), Analyze, Discipline, and Execute.

As part of the exclusive partnership, MJT members will be privileged to receive complimentary yardage books at Major events on the 2026 schedule, including the MJT National Championship, as well as discounted access, using promo code MJT2026, on the DECADE Golf platform.

“Golf is as much a game of strategy as it is of skill,” said Trent Matson, National Director of Operations for the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour. “Partnering with DECADE Golf allows our members to learn the same course management principles used by many of the best players in the world. We’re excited to make this resource available to MJT athletes as part of our continued commitment to player development.”

Fawcett, a former Texas A&M collegiate golfer and professional player, turned his focus to studying the statistical patterns behind scoring and decision-making in golf. His research has since evolved into one of the most respected strategic training systems in the sport.

“Helping MJT junior golfers overcome the challenges of learning to play golf will be incredibly rewarding,” says Fawcett. “Golf is endlessly frustrating, often leaving us wondering why we keep making the same mistakes leading to a feeling that we should have shot lower every time we play. After caddying for Will Zalatoris when he won the Texas Amateur and U.S. Junior, he said to me, ‘You’ve given me 25 years of experience in 5 days, I’ll never be able to thank you enough.’ That quote inspired the name DECADE. I want to help MJT players compress their learning curve by a decade by skipping the repetitive mistakes, and help them shoot the scores they know they’re capable of.”

The promo code of MJT2026 is currently active at DECADE Golf and players in the season-opening major, the MJT adidas Golf Series at University Golf Club in British Columbia, will be the first to receive a complimentary DECADE yardage book. This partnership further strengthens the MJT’s mission to provide young athletes with the best resources possible as they develop both on and off the golf course.

About DECADE Golf

The DECADE Course Management System has solved golf strategy by combining shot distribution patterns and PGA Tour scoring statistics. When Scott Fawcett combined those two data sets, he created a simple way to optimize target selection. Good players know if a pin is closely guarded by a lake to favor the center of the green, but how much? DECADE quickly generates the optimal target that will produce the lowest score based on distance, hazards, and hole location.
