Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour represents Canada in inaugural Three Nations Cup

Vancouver, BC – (February 18, 2026) – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) proudly represented Canada on the international stage in the inaugural Three Nations Cup with the USA and Mexico this past weekend, held in conjunction with a Future Champions Golf Tour’s three-day tournament at Menifee Lakes Country Club in California.

The historic two-day team competition featured eight-player squads from each country, with the top six scores counting towards the Three Nations Cup each day. MJT Team Canada athletes simultaneously competed as individuals in the 54-hole WAGR-ranked FCG Western States Cup.

Up against elite international talent and battling a demanding championship setup, MJT Team Canada finished third overall in the Three Nations Cup standings after 36 holes. MJT’s Austin Krahn from Christina Lake, BC, delivered a standout individual performance, finishing tied for second overall after 54 holes in the FCG tournament and highlighting the strength and depth of MJT athletes competing beyond Canada’s borders.

“The opportunity to represent Canada in a team environment against top international competition is invaluable,” said Trent Matson, MJT National Director of Operations. “While the team result wasn’t what we hoped for, the experience, camaraderie, and lessons learned will fuel future success for these athletes and for Canada.”
