MJT National Championship enjoys Guest Speakers Foley and Harmon

Kissimmee, FL – (November 7, 2019) – The MJT Boston Pizza National Championship presented by TaylorMade and adidas Golf teed off its four-day schedule of events at Reunion Resort, Florida, with the official tournament practice round and the welcome reception on November 7. Engaging the 112 players and families attending the event were world renowned golf instructors, Sean Foley and Butch Harmon.

It was a privilege to have Guest Speaker and MJT Training and Coaching Official Sponsor, Sean Foley, one of the biggest names in golf instruction, give a talk to the competitors. Born and raised in Toronto, ON, Sean Foley played college golf at Tennessee State University and began his career in teaching at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, ON. Voted as one of the top golf teachers in the world by PGA Tour players, Foley has taught Tiger Woods, 2018 Fedex Cup Champion and Olympic Golf Medalist, Justin Rose, 2016 Masters champion, Danny Willett, and PGA Tour rookie favorite, Cameron Champ, among others. Today, Foley teaches out of the Sean Foley Performance at EaglesDream where he offers elite instruction for all players incorporating ‘biomechanics, physiology, performance psychology, and philosophy’ into his teaching.

Another valuable addition to the tournament events was an appearance by world-class instructor, Butch Harmon, who offered insights of his teaching career working with some of golf’s biggest names including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Brant Snedeker, and Fred Couples. Harmon was also known in the early 1990s for his work with Greg Norman, and today, Harmon runs the Butch Harmon School of Golf at Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, NV.

The junior golfers in attendance received fantastic gifting from MJT Premier Partners, TaylorMade and adidas Golf, walking away with an impressive package of golf shoes, golf shirts, golf balls, toques, towels and more. In-person presentations were also made to the 2019 annual Order of Merit, Player of the Year and Scholarship Award Winners.

The first Official Tournament Round tees off November 8 with an 8am shotgun start. Results will be posted online at www.maplejt.com.
