Playoff highlights successful season opener in BC

Tony Mak of Richmond, BC, (Junior division), defeated Marcus Brown of Surrey, BC, on the first playoff hole at the beautiful, 100 year old Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam, BC, today, to win the low overall title and a spot into the FCG World Championship in La Quinta, CA, this July, in the MJT Nationwide Series at Mayfair Lakes/Vancouver Golf Club in BC, March 16-18. Mak shot 70-70-78 to tie with Brown (72-73-73), forcing the playoff. The other division winners were Alex Chen (Juvenile division) of Richmond, BC, (69-73-79); Roy Kang (Bantam Division) of North Vancouver, BC, (76-72-75) and Ashley Cai (Girls) of Vancouver (84-84-87). a full field of juniors competed over the three days.
