Murphy storms back to claim MJT 1st Choice Savings Series at Paradise Canyon GR
With an incredible two days of sun and very little wind in Lethbridge, AB, Patrick Murphy, 15, of Crossfield, carded a final round 68 to defeat first round leader Matt Williams, 16, of Calgary, by one shot in the MJT 1st Choice Savings Series at Paradise Canyon GR, April 28-29. Murphy's two-day total of 137 (-5) was the lowest in the field, claiming Overall Honours and the Boys 14-16 Division. Ian Mmbando, 17, of Lethbridge, closed with a final round 69 to win via retrogression over Brett Hogan, 18, of Calgary, with both players carding two-day totals of 143. In the Girls Division, Sabrine Garrison, 16, of Calgary, played steady golf posting 74-77, while Brendan Brown, 12, of Calgary, continued his winning ways with a two-day total of 150 to claim the Boys 13 & Under Division.
