TERON SHINES AT RAIN SHORTENED MJT PRODIGY SERIES AT RED TAIL LANDING
The MJT Prodigy Series was reduced to a one-day event following a downpour that left the greens under water, and the players grateful that they did not have to compete in the storm. Jesse Teron, 17, of Red Deer posted his lowest round ever in competition firing a 66 (-6) to claim Overall Title and win the Boys 17-19 Division. In the Boys 14-16 Division, Jason Martens, 14, of Edmonton was the only other player in the field to break par, carding a 71 (-1). Brendan Brown, 12, of Calgary continued his winning ways posting 76 to claim the Boys 13 & Under Division while hometown girl Erin Martens, 16, of Edmonton won the Girls Division, posting an 85 on the tough Red Tail Landing Golf Course.
