MAPLE LEAF JUNIOR GOLF TOUR AND OFFICIAL INTERNATIONAL EVENTS PARTNER, TRAVEL UNDERWRITERS, PROMOTE JUNIOR TALENT
A mandate of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is to give junior golfers an opportunity to showcase their talents on an international stage, allowing greater exposure of their talents among university and college coaches. This mandate is supported financially by Travel Underwriters, one of Canada's leading travel insurance providers.
As an example of this undertaking, Keaton Jones, 15, of Kitchener, Ontario, won the Penn State University event on the prestigious PGA Junior Series this July after qualifying via the MJT Ontario Series at Paris Grand Golf Club in Paris, ON. Jones shot rounds of 67-74-70 (-5) to win the Boys 13-15 Division by 6 shots and earn a spot in the 36th Junior PGA Championship in Fort Wayne, Indiana this August.
