CRAWFORD AND HEYNS TRIUMPH AT MJT CHINOOK CREDIT UNION SERIES AT NANTON GOLF CLUB
In winds gusting to 80km/hr, Aaron Crawford, 16, of Calgary (77-69) posted a 9 shot victory over his nearest rival to claim the Overall Low and winner in the Boys 14-16 Division while Mieke Heyns, 18, of Lethbridge (72-75) dominated as well winning by an incredible 17 shots over her nearest rival, claiming the Girs Division. In the Boys 17-19 Division, Austin Laidlaw, 17, of Lethbridge (80-70) claimed the Gold Medal while Brendan Brown, 11, of Calgary (77-73) kept rolling with his third victory in three starts. With some exciting news to finish the day, Jay Hollingsworth, 16, of Lethbridge scored his first hole-in-one on Hole #17.
