MAZUR MASTERS MJT-MANITOBA PGA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
WINNIPEG, MB - (August 19, 2010) - The biggest field of junior golfers ever on the MJT in Manitoba strutted their stuff during the MJT-Manitoba PGA Junior Championship presented by National Bank Financial at Transcona GC in Winnipeg on August 17-18. A total of 91 players from all over the province as well as from ON, SK and Florida competed for division titles in addition to the chance to qualify for the TJGT Barton Creek Holiday Classic in Texas, USA, in December. Scott Mazur, 17, of Winnipeg, did not disappoint his home course members after firing 69-71 (140) to win low overall and take the MJT-Manitoba Junior Boys 17-19 Champion's title. The other division champions were Bri-Ann Tokariwski (84-75) in Girls; Evan DeGrazia (73-72) in Boys 14-16; and Kirk Markowski (86-80* won playoff) in Boys 13 and Under.
