GOLF TEAM RECEIVES $4,000 DONATION FROM MJT
Vancouver, BC - (June 9, 2010) - The Boston Pizza-presented non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada's only national junior tour run exclusively by Canadian PGA Professionals, has donated $4,000 to the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) Cascades Golf Team in British Columbia to financially assist their program. As part of the MJT's mandate to develop junior golf in Canada, the donation will help the young athletes achieve their golfing goals via trips to various competitive tournaments. Alumni from the MJT have dominated the UFV Cascades Golf Team roster in recent years. Currently seven out of the eight players on the Team, namely Mitchell Lock, Brett Stewart, Brett Webster, Jessie Singh, Jeff Wright, Mike Broadfoot and Sean Patrick, are MJT alumni.
