DURBENIUK WINS MJT SPOT TO AUSTRALIA AT DESERT BLUME
Medicine Hat, AB - (May 10, 2010) The brutal weather in southern Alberta continued to threaten rain and snow over the mother's day weekend in Medicine Hat, where players in the stop at Desert Blume GC battled through despite the course being covered in snow the Wednesday prior to the tournament. Hometown Girl Becky Martin (74-79) won the Girls Division, Nathan Corrin (75-81) of Moose Jaw, SK, won the Boys 13 & Under, Austin Laidlaw (72-77) of Lethbridge won the Boys 14-16 Division, and Chris Durbeniuk (71-76) of Calgary captured the Boys 17-19 Division and won Low Overall to claim the spot to the Srixon Intl.
