FIRST MJT ALUMNI ON PGA TOUR

The MJT is proud to report the first alumni member to qualify for the PGA Tour! Chris Baryla, 27, of Vernon, BC, started playing on the MJT 10 years ago when the program originally launched as the Western Canada Junior Golf Tour, and made an impact in each event he played, qualifying for a spot in the 2000 Callaway Junior World Golf Championships at the Tour's Cattermole Timber Classic at Northview GC in July 2000. Baryla placed 19th on the Nationwide Tour money list to earn his PGA Tour card for 2010. He finished as the low Canadian at the RBC Canadian Open in July, when he tied for 8th at Glen Abbey. Baryla turned professional not long after qualifying for the 2003 U.S. Open.
Another longtime MJT member, Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, BC, who played for over four years on the MJT and had many successes, has made it past first stage of Q-school for his PGA Tour card. Best of luck to both players!
