KIM WINS PLAYOFF AND KONG EXCELS IN LINDSAY KENNEY CLASSIC

Chilliwack, BC - (August 12, 2009) - Alix Kong, 13, helps symbolize what the MJT stands for. Starting at age 9 she shot 107-111 at Point Roberts GC in BC; four years later she is a two handicap and won her second MJT Girls division title at the Lindsay Kenney Classic at Chilliwack Golf Club, BC, on August 10-11, with scores of 77-73.
Another MJT veteran, Jay Kim, 16, of Surrey, defeated Callum Robinson of Langley on the second playoff hole to win the Boys 14-16 title (72-76); Oscar Baek of Coquitlam won in Boys 13 and under with scores of 74-74, and there was a three-way tie for first place in Boys 17-19 at 154 total score between Matt Gudmundson, Brett Sherwood and Kowan O'Keefe, with Gudmundson taking the trophy based on retrogression.
