RAY STEWART HAS AMAZING RUN AT CHAMPIONS TOUR BOEING CLASSIC

Dec 11, 2007

Ray Stewart - PGA Tour veteran and volunteer spokesperson for the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour - made headlines this past week at the Champions Tour Boeing Classic in Snoqualmie, Washington. Stewart - a long time member of the Ledgeview G&CC - played in the final grouping of the day and emerged with a six-under par 66 for a two shot lead. Then Saturday, playing part of the day in rain, he quietly increased his lead to four strokes with a four-under 68. Stewart ultimately finished one-stroke behind a record-setting seven-player tie for first place after the third round and managed to stay in the Top 10. He will now head for Carmel and another qualifying opportunity to play in this week's Wal-Mart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach. Stewart also cited having his son - and MJT player - Brett Stewart - act as caddie among his tournament highlights. For more news about Stewart's performance, please visit www.BCGolfNews.com.
