MJT ALUMNI RICHARD LEE COMPETES AGAINST TOP PROFESSIONALS

2007 U.S. Open competitor and former Vancouver resident, Richard Lee, 16, played more in Canada on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, formerly the Western Canada Junior Golf Tour, than any other tour after starting at age 8.

Prior to moving to Arizona to play year-round, he won many, many times on the MJT including his division title at the MJT's National Tour Championship in 2003, and posted some course records during practice rounds along the way - a 62 at Point Roberts Golf and Country Club in Point Roberts, WA, and a 63 on The Bear Course, Okanagan Golf Club, Kelowna, BC.

Lee made up a powerful group of young guns on the MJT together with Jonnie Motomochi, Eugene Wong, Darren Wallace and Riley Wheeldon - all B.C. players.

The U.S. Open is currently playing at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA. Visit www.usopen.com for current leaderboard.
