PALMER CRUISES TO VICTORY IN MJT'S FINAL ONTARIO STOP
| CAMBRIDGE, ON - The final regular season stop in Ontario on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) ran August 14th, 15th and 16th at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, ON. The 54-hole event on the superb, demanding golf course attracted a field of top juniors from Alberta, BC and all over Ontario. Kevin Palmer, 18, of Sarnia, ON, and Sarnia Golf Club, closed with an excellent three-under-par 69 to finish at 219 total score over the three days (73-77-69), claiming low overall and the Boys 17 and up division title. Second place in this division was a tie at 230 total score between a Galt Country Club junior, Bryan Germann, 17, of Kitchener, ON, (78-80-72) and Mac Walrath, 18, of Edmonton, AB, (77-80-73), who plays out of Mayfair Golf and Country Club. Fourth spot went to another Galt player, Ben Deignan, 17, of Cambridge.
