8th ANNUAL MJT CATTERMOLE TIMBER CLASSIC PLAYS OUT IN CHILLIWACK
| CHILLIWACK, BC - Reasonable golfing conditions prevailed throughout the 8th annual Cattermole Timber Classic on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, July 10th and 11th, where a field of competitive juniors played 36 holes on the well groomed Chilliwack GC in Chilliwack, BC. Cattermole Timber, a longtime member of the Chilliwack business community, has been a sponsor of Canada's only national junior tour run by Golf Professionals since inception 8 years ago, and was pleased to be able to bring the tournament to their own backyard this season. Kyle Dodman, 16, of Abbotsford, fired 73-70 to take low overall honours and the Boys 14-16 division title on his home course. "The very first hole of the tournament I chipped in after being in the trees the whole way up. I made birdie and was off. The key was just remembering to swing it smooth and try not to worry about what others were doing," |
