NEW MJT HIGHLIGHTS

SCOTLAND KINGDOM OF FIFE TEAM MATCHES: MJT members have an outstanding international opportunity to compete against world class competition on famous courses in the birthplace of golf, Scotland. The Maple Leaf Team of 8 boys, selected from qualifiers throughout Canada, will be captained by MJT Tournament Director Dean Spriddle. CPGA Teacher of the Year 2002/3 and Coach of the Canadian National Ladies Team, which placed 2nd in the World Championships in 2004. Check the schedule for qualifying sites.
MJT BOSTON PIZZA NATIONAL TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR THE FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS GOLF CLUB
The 7th annual MJT Boston Pizza National Tour Championship will be hosted by the outstanding Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Club in the Rocky Mountains of Banff, Alberta, on September 10-11, 2005. You can qualify! Play in as many events you can (3 minimum) and earn your spot in this prestigious invitation-only finale to the season.
INTRODUCTION OF MJT ONE DAY SERIES: For the first time, the MJT will host one day events in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta which are open to both members and non-members and include a 10 & Under age division for junior-junior play. So tell your younger brothers and sisters to try out 9 or 18 holes of competition on the MJT this year! Dates and venues on the full 2005 schedule on the website.
ADULT/JUNIOR OPTIONS: At both the 1st Choice Savings MJT One Day Series event at Magrath Golf Club (July 5) and the MJT Radium Hot Springs Open (July 18-19), adults have the option to join a junior for one round in a best ball format.
QUEBEC ON SCHEDULE: MJT?s Quebec Tournament Director, Tom Bissegger, brings a wealth of experience as a CPGA Professional to the program and will be hosting the inaugural MJT event in Quebec on July 4-5 at Club de Golf Rive-Sud, near Montreal. The inclusion of Quebec expands the MJT?s national presence and increases opportunities for developing champions nationwide!
MJT AFFILIATED ACADEMIES: The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour has spearheaded affiliations with selected golf academies across the country, helping members to find the best game development programs available. Watch for an official announcement later this month.
