The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) wrapped up another incredible season in Alberta with the MJT Ford Series at RedTail Landing Golf Club in Nisku, September 6-7. A heavily waitlisted field of 19U athletes teed it up across five divisions, fighting for their final chances at 2025 season wins, exceptional prizing, and the thrill of a brand-new Ford Escape up for grabs in the exciting Ford Hole-in-One Contest. Saturday also featured the Nisku Ford Go Golf! Junior Clinic, where 40 enthusiastic kids aged five to 12 were introduced to the game free of charge. With nearly every MJT event in Alberta selling out this year, the season finale highlighted the strength and depth of the province’s thriving junior golf community.

The MJT Bantam Boys division came down to the wire, as Edmonton’s 13-year-old Harrison Wells and Drayton Valley’s 13-year-old Nixen Wilkes both finished tied at 147 (74-73). The playoff battle stretched to two extra holes before Wells sealed the victory with a clutch birdie.
