Hot weather fires up the scoring in MJT Mini Tour at Cheam Mountain stop

Hot scoring was recorded out of the deep field of 75 young golfers aged 12U that turned out to compete on Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour on June 11, in the non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Mini Tour at Cheam Mountain Golf Club in Chilliwack, BC.  Players were competing for titles in six divisions with winners or the highest ranked non-exempt player receiving exemptions into the season-ending MJT Mini Tour National Championship in Tsawwassen, BC, this August.

Low overall honours for Girls and Boys respectively went to Jenny Guo, 11, of North Vancouver, BC, who continued her winning ways on the MJT, and to Jackson Wang, 11, of Surrey, BC, the only player to break par. It was the third victory of the year for both Guo and Wang as they continue to dominate a very deep and talented field of young golfers.
