MJT Humber College PGM Atlantic Championship crowns 6 champions at Fox Harb’r

Players on Canada’s number-one junior tour, the non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, were treated to an exhilarating experience at the picturesque Fox Harb’r Golf Resort in Wallace, Nova Scotia, this past week, competing in the MJT Humber College PGM Atlantic Championship.  This was the final event on the Humber College PGM Series across Canada, with six division titles and major MJT Order of Merit points on the line, all geared towards securing invitation to the 2023 MJT National Championship presented by TaylorMade and adidas Golf at The Wigwam Golf Resort in Arizona this November.

The golf course was in immaculate condition and the weather was perfect for the final MJT stop in the region this season.  Top finisher scores and winner quotes are noted below. Results from the TaylorMade Long Drive, PLYR Closest to the Pin, Booster Juice BounceBack Awards and Academy Points can be found on the MJT website here.  Other highlights included Matthew Brooks, 17, of Halifax, NS, shooting the Low Overall Boys score of even par 144 and Riley Partington, 15, of Fredericton, NB, claiming Low Overall Girls score from the furthest tee after finishing seven shots ahead of her nearest rival.  MJT veteran, Olivia Johnson, 14, of Calgary, AB, travelled across Canada to win again in the MJT Girls U15 Division. In the MJT Peewee Boys, first round leader Liam Wheaton, 12, of Memramcook, NB, held on to win, while it took a playoff in MJT Bantam Boys for the winner to be determined as Nathan MacDonald, 13, of Fall River, NS.
