MJT’s 2022 Mini Tour season off to a great start with the OOM Spring Invitational at Richmond Country Club
Tournament Highlights:
- A stacked field of 70 young players compete at Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour’s second Mini Tour stop of the season on the beautiful Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course, in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, April 9
- Each division winner qualifies for the MJT Quilchena Order of Merit (OOM) Invitational at the private Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond,BC, May 29, 2022 (see list below).
- The Girls and Boys 8U and 9-10 Division winners also qualify for the FCG Callaway World Championship (10 & under) in California, USA, this July (see list below).
- Two division titles need to be settled by Countback: Jackson Wang of Surrey, BC, wins the MJT Boys 9-10 division in a Countback after tying for the lead with Vala Balazadeh of Vancouver, BC, with a score of 76; and in the MJT Girls 11-12, Michelle Jee of Port Coquitlam, BC, wins by Countback after tying for the lead with Satnam Gill of Surrey, BC, with a score of 90.
- Seven-year-old Everett Quewezance of Kamloops, BC, shoots a great score of 77 on a 3070 yard layout to win the Boys 8U title.

About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada. The organization is supported by valued Premier, Tournament and Product Partners. The MJT hosts close to 100 events across Canada, including free Ford Go Golf Junior Clinics, the MJT Mini Tour for 12U and multi-day events for competitive players aged 11-19 which also offer qualifiers for international tournaments.
