Winner Quote: Kaitlyn Ellis, 16, of Oakville, ON: “It’s super exciting to have won this MJT tournament, especially on such an awesome course! Since there was a four-way tie coming into today, I didn’t know I had won until I checked the scoreboard after because I wasn’t sure how the other groups did. My favourite memory of the weekend was holing out from 44 yards on 13 for eagle. The main part of my game that contributed to my win was my mental game that I worked extremely hard on throughout winter. Other than keeping the ball in play and not getting myself into too much trouble off the tee, my improved mental game definitely got me this win.
My goals for this season are to play as many MJT events as I can because they provide a great opportunity to learn in a competitive environment, and I’ll get to play at some of my favourite courses.”

My driving skill helped with the win this weekend, my new drivers got delivered to me last weekend and it was great to use them. My goal for this golf season is to improve my short game, I need to stop being nervous on the short putts and hit the ball with confidence.”

It's always nice to start off the season strong. Knowing that I had won and the eventual reward that comes with with this victory was my best memory. My short game was really solid throughout the weekend and I drove it really well on day two, I think this is what contributed to my win this weekend.
