Markham Executive Golf Course plays host to MJT Mini Tour

Markham, ON – (August 4, 2021) – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour passed the halfway point of the Ontario 12U season on August 3 as it made its way into Markham, ON, for a one-day Mini Tour event, where junior golfers aged 12 and under competed for titles in six divisions at the MJT Mini Tour at Markham Executive Golf Course. Earning a four-shot victory in the MJT Boys 11-12 Division with a score of 66 was 12-year-old Hudson Kelahear, of Etobicoke, ON. Kelahear, who is slowly beginning the transition onto the MJT Junior Tour, earned his first Mini Tour win in two years of competing on the MJT. “It was a great experience getting the win,” commented Kelahear, who enjoyed being on the golf course and playing with his competitors. “Most importantly, the kids I played with were so nice which made the tournament fun.” Tottenham, ON, golfer Parker MacMillan, 12, recorded a 70 to finish the division in second place.
