Calgary, AB - July 20, 2017 –  The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s MJT Mini Tour PGA of Alberta / Ford Junior Championship was held at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club in Calgary, AB, on Monday, July 17, where players aged 12 and under competed for titles in the Atom Boys (10 years and under) and Peewee (11 to 12 years Girls and Boys divisions).

Brynne Davies, 12, of Calgary, shot 87 and beat Brio Hempstead, 12, of Banff, AB, by two strokes for the MJT Mini Tour PGA of Alberta Peewee Girls title. The win felt ‘good’ for Davies, who said she played the MJT because, “I wanted to have fun, and play with people I know.”

The MJT Mini Tour PGA of Alberta Atom Boys title was won by Peyton Stahl, 10, of Priddis, AB, who shot 80 to beat Ryan Badger, 10, of Edmonton, AB, by one stroke. Stahl cited ‘hitting my irons close’ as his key to victory.
