Mandur Low Overall in MJT Lindsay Kenney Classic Six shortlisted for IMG Academy Junior World Championships
LANGLEY, B.C. – (April 27, 2015) – After pitching in for an eagle on the 18th hole, Tristan Mandur, 16, of Mill Bay, BC, fired an outstanding four-under-par final round of 68 to win Low Overall and the Juvenile Boys 15-16 title in the MJT Lindsay Kenney Classic at Pagoda Ridge Golf Course in Langley this past weekend.
“I’m very happy and proud to win,” said Mandur, who carded 73-68 (141) during the two day tournament on April 25th and 26th to win his division by five shots, securing a shortlisted spot for the IMG Academy Junior World Championships in San Diego, CA, this July.
The other players to be shortlisted for age specific spots in the Junior Worlds included Victoria Liu, 12, of Vancouver, BC, Susan Xiao, 13, of Surrey, BC, Vivian Lee, 15, of New Westminster (and the Hong Kong Golf Association), Brycen Ko, 11, of Richmond, BC, and Raymond Li, 14, of Vancouver.
