Crisologo fires 66 final round to win MJT Low Overall at Pagoda Ridge

Four shortlisted for Callaway Junior World Golf Championships

LANGLEY, B.C. – (May 20, 2013) – A brilliant final round of 66 in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s two-day tournament on May 18th and 19th in Langley, BC, ensured victory for Chris Crisologo of Richmond, BC, who won Low Overall and the MJT Junior Boys 17-19 title (71-66=137) in the MJT Junior Worlds Qualifier at Pagoda Ridge Golf Club. Four players also qualified for age-specific shortlisted spots into the Callaway Junior World Golf Championship in San Diego, CA, this July, with the final winners to be announced once all MJT qualifiers across the country have completed.

“The competition was close with a few people within a few strokes of me,” said Crisologo, who is now shortlisted for a Boys 15-17 spot in the Junior World Championships. “It feels great to win my first MJT in this age division.” Runner-up in his division was Marcus Brown, 17, of Surrey, BC (73, 74=147) while third place went to Jaesung Choi, 17, also of Surrey (73, 76=149).
