LEMAY CONTINUES WINNING STREAK ON MJT AT FOXWOOD
BADEN, ON – Waterloo’s 12-year-old Matt LeMay, who plays out of Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, continued his winning streak in the Boys 13 and under division at the penultimate stop on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s (MJT) inaugural one-day Ontario Fall Series, after firing a 73 on Foxwood Golf Club in Baden.
LeMay notched up his fourth MJT victory this season at the tournament, which ran on Saturday, October 11th. “Hitting the pin on the last hole was my highlight,” he said. “It feels great to win on a course with a lot of trees and on greens which were very difficult today.” Tied for second place in this division with a score of 81 were Max Clift, 10, of Kitchener and Lucas Lukovic, 11, of Caledon. The division’s Mr. Lube Long Drive and Sundog Closest-to-the-Pin (KP) competitions were both won by LeMay. Read more
