British Columbia Juniors Join Maple Leaf Team To Scotland

Vancouver, B.C. ? The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) held a qualifier in British Columbia for the Maple Leaf Team to Scotland this past weekend, at the Links at Boundary Bay Golf Course in Delta, B.C.

The competitive field in the two-day tournament, which was sponsored by Cattermole Timber, enjoyed a well conditioned golf course but faced challenging winds off the ocean at Boundary Bay. The event was to qualify two players to join the Canadian contingent in the Kingdom of Fife Team Matches in Scotland, August 22-26, 2005.

12-year-old standout Brian Cho of Pitt Meadows captured one of the team spots to Scotland, the Boys 13 and under division title and overall low score for the tournament with rounds of 70-71 (141). ?I am proud of myself that I shot three under par after two rounds,? said Cho. ?It was my short game and putting; I played as safe as I can.?
