Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour Qualifies Player For Event in New York

LANGLEY, B.C. ? Talented Nick Taylor, 17, of Abbotsford, BC, will be heading to the United States to take part in a noted junior tournament after shooting the low overall score in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour?s Lindsay Kenney Classic at The Redwoods Golf Course in Langley.

Taylor won the Boys 17 and up division at last weekend?s MJT event to earn a berth in the 53rd International Junior Masters, to be held June 27 - July 1 in East Aurora, N.Y. Currently enjoying an outstanding season with wins in two MJT events as well as in the RCGA?s Future Links Pacific Championship in late March, Taylor posted rounds of 74-70 to seal the spot four strokes ahead of runner-up Jessie Singh, 17, of Surrey, BC (73-75).
