KLUGHART CROWNED FINORA CLASSIC CHAMPION

Swift Current, SK – (June 14, 2010) – MJT veteran, Danny Klughart, 17, of Prince Albert, blazed around the Elmwood golf course in Swift Current with a three-under-par 139 total score (69-70) over the June 12th-13th weekend to claim low overall and the Boys 17-19 gold medal in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Finora Classic. Klughart was playing in the two-day tournament with many competitive junior golfers, vying for division titles and a paid exemption into a Future Collegiate World Tour (FCWT) event in the USA.

The spot went to Klughart, who commented, “It feels great to hit the ball good and putt good at the same time and finally put it all together. The MJT helps prepare me for provincials.” Three strokes back was Braeden Mueller, 18, of Regina, who fired a great closing round of 68 to claim the silver medal in this division, while Jared Tupper, 17, of Meadow Lake, shot 72-71 to take bronze.
