Sunny showdown in Fredericton for Atlantic Canada’s final ticket to MJT Mini Tour Nationals

Canada’s number one junior golf circuit, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), held a Mini Tour stop for 7- to 12-year-old players on the welcoming fairways of Fredericton Golf Club, NB, on August 10, where beautiful sunny skies set the stage for an exciting day of competition. The young players were chasing titles in four divisions along with great prizes and the chance to qualify for the region’s final qualifying spots in the MJT Mini Tour National Championship in British Columbia later this month. With its classic parkland layout and tree-lined fairways, Fredericton Golf Club provided the perfect backdrop for a fun day of competition.

Solid showings led to MJT Mini Tour division wins for Cian O'Brien, 11, of Rothesay, NB, in MJT Boys 11-12 (91), Sophie Landry, 11, of Dieppe, NB, in MJT Girls 11-12 (95), Callum Burge, 9, from Amherst, NS, in MJT Boys 9-10 (74), and Leo Roach, 7, from Fredy, NB, in MJT Boys 8U (98).
