First-time winners triumph and 6-year-old takes a top spot at MJT Mini Tour’s Etobicoke stop

Canada’s leading junior golf tour, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), continued its cross-country momentum with a waitlisted field of 12U talented young golfers competing in the MJT Mini Tour stop at Centennial Park Golf Centre in Etobicoke, ON, on June 1. Under sunny skies, brisk early-June temperatures, and a gusting wind once again, the young athletes battled it out in five age divisions for titles, prizes and a shot at qualifying for the season-ending MJT Mini Tour National Championship in British Columbia.

The well-maintained layout at Centennial Park provided the perfect stage for showcasing precision and short-game skill, setting the tone for a competitive and exciting day. Stellar results were delivered, with impressive division wins by Miles Cousineau, 12, of Toronto, ON, in MJT Boys 11-12 (69), Annie Wang, 11, of Newmarket, ON, in MJT Girls 11-12 (76), Yien Li, 9, from Aurora, ON, in MJT Boys 9-10 (74), Lanai Park, 9, from Oakville, ON, in MJT Girls 9-10 (70), and Liam Lin, 6, from Markham, ON, in MJT Boys 8U (75).
