Personal bests top podium in MJT Mini Tour’s successful finale at Wildwood

Canada’s leading junior golf circuit, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), brought its Mini Tour for seven- to 12-year-olds to Wildwood Golf Course in Saskatoon, SK, on August 22, where 44 athletes teed it up in the province’s successful season finale. The event capped off a record-breaking 2025 season for junior golf in Saskatchewan, marked by strong fields, competitive scoring, and inspiring performances throughout the summer, pointing to a very bright future for the game.

Nestled along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, Wildwood’s tree-lined fairways and prairie charm provided a fitting backdrop for players competing in five divisions for medals, exceptional prizing, and the last chance to earn ranking points to see who finishes as overall Order of Merit winners.

The young golfers rose to the challenge, and their efforts culminated in some standout performances and personal bests, resulting in division titles for Cohen Bridge, 11, of Corman Park, SK, in MJT Boys 11-12 (70), Alyxa Melsted, 12, of Wynyard, SK, in MJT Girls 11-12 (81), Jerry King Zhao, 9, from Regina, SK, in MJT Boys 9-10 (73), Mae McTavish, 9, from Canora, SK, in MJT Girls 9-10 (71), and Aleksander Sierzycki, 7, from Prince Albert, SK, in MJT Boys 8U (90).

Quotes from the division winners and top finisher scores are detailed below. Winners of the Long Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin, and Ready-to-Play awards are posted on the MJT website here.

As the 2025 MJT Mini Tour season in Saskatchewan comes to a close, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour wishes to thank members, participants, families, and sponsors for an incredible year. Early Bird Memberships for 2026 will be available in December and more information on the program can be found online at www.maplejt.com.
