2023 MJT Mini Tour at Chester Golf Club

Game growing in region as immaculate Chester Golf Club hosts two Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour events

It was another great field of 77 young golfers ages six to 18 that took part in the non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s second stop in the region at the immaculate Chester Golf Club in Chester, Nova Scotia, on May 27 and 28. Canada’s number one-played Junior Tour hosted both a two-day Junior Tour (19U) and one-day Mini Tour (12U) event; results of the Mini Tour, which recently expanded by adding more stops to the circuit in 2023, are highlighted here.

A mix of very young players from across the region fell into three age divisions with winners of each qualifying for the season-ending MJT Mini Tour National Championship in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, this August. The competitors who punched their tickets were Mikelle MacDonald, 12, of Halifax, NS, Alex MacDonald, 8, of Fall River, NS, and Joshua Nickerson, 9, of Kenville, NS.
