Zhao wins playoff with 20 foot downhill putt in MJT Mini Tour’s Beaverdale stop

- The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) hosted the MJT Mini Tour Summer Series at Beaverdale Golf Club in Cambridge, ON, on August 13, 2022, where 12U golfers took to the course to play 18 holes in the last tournament before the MJT Mini Tour National Championship in British Columbia at the end of this month.
- Dustin Zhao, 10, of Maple, ON, took the MJT Boys 11-12 division title on the first hole of a playoff against Ethan Tan, 11, of Oakville, after Zhao made a 20 foot downhill birdie putt for the win.
- Rosalynn Liu, 12, of Toronto, ON, fought it out for first place in the MJT Girls 11-12 division, winning the title by two strokes with a single round score of 80.
- Cristiano Gatto, 10, of Ancaster, ON, was the MJT Boys 9-10 winner after carding a score of 80 for a seven stroke victory.
- The MJT Girls 9-10 division winner was Sarah Xing, 10, Richmond Hill, ON, who shot 83 to take the title by five strokes.
- Deed Martino, 8, of Brantford, ON, won the MJT Boys 8U title by two shots with a round of 92.
- In the MJT Girls 8U division, Charlotte Black, 8, of Paris, ON, posted a score of 106 over 18 holes to win the title by five strokes.
