Wild storm doesn’t stop MJT Ontario Mini Tour season start at Merry-Hill
Tournament Highlights:

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) held the first of the Ontario Mini Tour series for 12U golfers in the province at Merry-Hill Golf Club, in Breslau, Ontario, May 21, 2022.

Golfers took to the course after a weather-delayed start when a hectic storm moved across Ontario; fortunately Merry-Hill Golf Club saw limited damage.

In a tight race for first, James Krula, 11, of Mississauga, ON, ended up winning the MJT Boys 11-12 division with a great score of 70.

Danica Suckert, 12, of Cambridge, ON, took the MJT Girls 11-12 title by nine strokes.

Toronto’s Lindholm sisters both put on strong performances; Riviera (9) shot 74 for the win in MJT Girls 9-10, and Soleil (7) carded 82 in the MJT Girls 8U Division.

Derek Zhao, 8, of Maple, ON, won in MJT Boys 8U with a solid score of 80.

MJT Boys 9-10 division winner was Eli Perng, 10, of St. Davids, ON, with a 75.
