Maple Leaf Junior Tour hosts record 134 golfers in Saskatchewan season-opener; five claim Mini Tour titles
Tournament Highlights:

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) ran both a Junior (19U) and Mini Tour (12U) event for the long-awaited Saskatchewan season-opener over the May long weekend, with a record 134 young golfers taking part at Elmwood Golf and Country Club in Swift Current.

Results of the 12U event are highlighted here, where five age divisions played 18 holes on May 21 in the MJT Mini Tour at Elmwood Golf and Country Club, the first in a series of five stops in the province.

Tylan Wallin, 11, of Humboldt, SK, had a dominant performance, shooting 75 to take first place in the MJT Boys 11-12 Division by 10 strokes.

Kathy Han, 12, of Saskatoon, SK, was in a tight race for podium positions, eventually taking the MJT Girls 11-12 title with a score of 85.

Keaton Kreklewich, 10, of Melville, SK, shot an outstanding 70, including an eagle on hole 10, to win the MJT Boys 9-10 Division title by five strokes.

Caleb O’Brien, 8, of Melville, SK, took first place in MJT Boys 8U, just two strokes ahead of the second place finisher, Cohen Bridge.

Alyxa Melsted, 9, of Wynyard, SK, came out to compete in her very first MJT Mini Tour event and took home a collection of awards.
