Denton and Love claim back-to-back podium finishes and qualify for MJT Mini Tour Nationals.

Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour held the MJT Mini Tour at Innisfail Golf Club in Innisfail, AB, on July 13, where U13 golfers competed for division titles in preparation for the MJT Mini Tour National Championship next month.

Bennet Love and Raylee Denton both earned qualifying spots into this year’s MJT Mini Tour Nationals, being held at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course on August 24-25, in BC.

Love, 11, of Red Deer, AB, has become a familiar podium finisher on the U13 Mini Tour having placed top three in 4 tournaments, as he claimed the MJT Boys 11-12 division title, finishing three-under-par.

In the MJT Girls 11-12 division, Denton, 12, also of Red Deer, AB, played a dominant round as she finished with a 77, and ran away with the title.

Golfers were close in the MJT Boys 9-10 division, where Keaton Kreklewich, 10, of Melville, SK, took the division title with a two-stroke winning margin, firing a hot score of 68.

Camila Ruesga-Rojas, 10, of Calgary, AB, continued her strong tournament performance, winning the MJT Girls 9-10 division title and taking a place on the podium for the fifth tournament this MJT season.

Caleb Topshee, 8, of Calgary, AB, played a solid round, and claimed the MJT Boys 8U division title with a strong back nine performance to secure the win.

Ain Lee, 8, of Sylvan Lake, AB, came out to play a great round of golf in the MJT Girls 8U division, finishing with a score of 95.
