MJT Mini Tour’s successful season ends on a high with great scores at Musqueam

Tournament Highlights:
- Canada’s number-one played Junior Golf Tour ended the very successful 2022 Mini Tour season for 12U players on a high with the MJT Mini Tour Fall Series at Musqueam Golf Club in Vancouver, BC, on September 25, where great scores were recorded out of the wait-listed field of 81.
- In the MJT Boys 11-12 Division, Haarjun Lotay, 11, of Burnaby, BC, won by a six-stroke margin after he shot an excellent score of 62 (+2).
- A powerful performance from Kathleen Dunn, 11, of Surrey, BC, secured her the MJT Girls 11-12 division title after she shot 67, claiming victory by three strokes.
- Several strong scores were recorded in the MJT Boys 9-10 division where the winner was familiar podium finisher, Jackson Wang, 10, of Surrey, BC, after he fired a round of 64. There was a two-way-tie for third place just three strokes back.
- Jody Li, 9, of Burnaby, BC, held onto the MJT Girls 9-10 division title by countback after tying for first place with Chloe Zhang, 10, of Vancouver, BC, with a score of 73.
- A seven-year-old Ben Gamley, of North Vancouver, BC, had a great round of golf in the MJT Boys 8U division to card 71 for a three-stroke victory.
- There was another tie for the lead in the MJT Girls 8U division where Vancouverites Joanna Lin, 7, and Luna Zhou, 8, both carded scores of 78, with the title going to Luna Zhou based on countback.
- Closest-to-the-Pin awards are posted on the website.
- The Musqueam Golf Club stop was the final MJT Mini Tour event on a 37-event national circuit, 11 of which ran in BC. An Early Bird membership for 2023 will be available in December on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour website, www.maplejt.com.
